A Bit About Us

ABOUT US

Empowering Women, Transforming Communities

Choudhary Foundation, established in 2017, is a professional feminist organization dedicated to providing dignified livelihoods to resource-poor women in urban areas across India. Our work transcends religious and social divides, empowering underprivileged women to achieve full citizenship, economic independence, and societal value.

Vision

We envision a world where all women, particularly those from disadvantaged backgrounds, enjoy full citizenship, earn with dignity, and generate wealth and value for themselves and their communities.

Mission

Our mission is to equip resource-poor women with the knowledge, skills, and opportunities needed to excel as professionals and entrepreneurs in non-traditional fields. By enabling women to imagine new roles, work in safe and respectful environments, and enhance their economic status and self-respect, we create a ripple effect of change that extends beyond individual lives to families and communities.

Core Values

  • Inclusivity: We embrace diversity and ensure that our initiatives are accessible to all women, regardless of their background.

  • Secularity: We operate with a commitment to secularism, respecting and supporting women from all religious communities.

  • Dignity & Respect: We believe in upholding the dignity of every woman and fostering an environment of mutual respect.

  • Responsibility: We are accountable for our actions and decisions, ensuring they align with our mission and values.

  • Professionalism: We maintain the highest standards of professionalism in our work and interactions.

  • Transparency & Accountability: We are committed to operating with transparency and being accountable to our beneficiaries, partners, and stakeholders.

Key Achievements

Since our inception, over 5,000 women have benefited from our comprehensive training programs, which cover essential skills such as:

  • Women’s rights

  • Self-defense

  • Sexual and reproductive health

  • English speaking and effective communication

  • First aid

  • Grooming and presentation

These programs have empowered women to transform their lives, enhancing their economic status, self-respect, and decision-making within their families.

Strategic Impact

Our efforts are focused on leveling the employment field for disadvantaged women by providing bold livelihood options that challenge traditional norms. By helping women acquire dignified, non-traditional jobs, we are developing a cadre of empowered women who become catalysts for change in their communities.

Community Engagement

We recognize that creating a supportive environment for women requires engaging with both men and women in their communities. Our range of community programs fosters this supportive environment, ensuring that women can pursue non-traditional livelihoods with dignity.

Advocacy

Beyond direct intervention, we advocate for policy changes that make non-traditional livelihood options universally accessible to women in India. We work with policymakers and stakeholders to integrate social concerns into livelihood programs, promoting economic and social equality for women.

Origins

Choudhary Foundation began as a charitable trust in Delhi, born out of the urgent need to address persistent gender inequalities in India. With initial funding from family and friends, our journey started with a strong spirit of volunteerism and commitment, laying the foundation for the impact work we do today.

Sister Concern: The foundation is closely associated with the Shri DeepChand Educational Society, NGO which has been active in social welfare and development since 2004. This society receives support from both the government and prominent companies such as ONGC, WAPCOS and MMTC for its targeted social initiatives.

Conclusion

At Choudhary Foundation, we believe that when women are empowered, they become the architects of their own lives and the lives of those around them. Through our work, we strive to create a world where every woman has the opportunity to thrive with dignity and respect. Hence the Trust is actively involved in a variety of social initiatives aimed at empowering women, raising awareness on critical health issues, promoting cleanliness, and fostering sports among youth. These efforts are focused on creating sustainable livelihoods, improving health and legal awareness, and encouraging community participation in environmental and social causes.
